SAMFCO was founded in 1966 by then Consul General of Mexico in San Antonio, Ambassador Carlos Sada, along with prominent community leaders. It was established as a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening and promoting cultural ties between Mexico and San Antonio.

Since its inception, SAMFCO has supported a wide range of cultural and civic activities in collaboration with the Consulate General of Mexico and the Mexican Cultural Institute. Additionally, it contributes to community and educational programs that benefit local residents.

Over the years, SAMFCO has played a key role in fostering friendship and cooperation between San Antonio and Mexico, promoting mutual understanding and collaboration through cultural, educational, and social initiatives.
